Our past work in this regard apart the future augurs to be very cost with the prospect of every village being lit with the lamp of glory within the next couple of years, a thing which would not hag perhaps been dream of a decade ago the success in this direction has to be attributed partly at least to the happy and smooth industrial relations between the Tamilnadu Electricity Board and its employees,. It will ultimately give them a feeling of satisfactions and sense of pride.
Thanks to the combined efforts of the officers of the Board and its employees, we have succeeded, to a very large extent, in maintaining industrial and we have to admit that much more needs to be done. Yet looking back, what comes uppermost in one'mind is a feeling of complacency in the matter of achievement of satisfactory industrial relations in this great industrial concern. The proof of the pudding is in its eating. This will be quite obvious, if a study of the various measures adopted during the past decade is made. The Board can reasonably take pride in having maintained fair and smooth relations with all the unions as well, giving in wherever their demands were reasonable and warranted a lean to their side. Justice and fair play have always been the guiding things in all all matters relating to workers relations.
